Almost 600 properties were damaged or destroyed as California’s Butte wildfire ripped through nearly 71,000 acres this past summer.

An analysis by FireLine^®—Verisk’s wildfire risk management tool— determined that 97 percent of properties damaged or destroyed in the fire were at moderate, high, and extreme risk from wildfire.
