The Division of Medicare Secondary Payer Program Operations (DMPO) is requesting feedback for coordination of benefits and recovery (COB&R) webinar topics. The DMPO’s request for feedback relates to both non-group health plans (NGHP) and group health plans (GHP). (Of note, this latest DMPO request comes on the heels of the DMPO’s recent request for feedback regarding CMS’s Section 111 ORM termination guidelines for NGHP reporting).

Key points referenced in the DMPO’s request for webinar topics include the following:
- The DMPO is soliciting webinar ideas in order to “better align future webinar and other outreach topics with stakeholder needs and interests.”
- The DMPO requests that feedback be submitted “no later than July 1, 2026.” However, the DMPO notes that comments submitted after this date may still be considered for future webinar topics. The DMPO notes that feedback need not be in any formal format or follow any particular parameters.
- The DMPO will take all feedback into consideration but is unable to guarantee that all feedback will be used for future webinar topics.
- For those interested in submitting feedback, see the DMPO’s notice (link above) for instructions on how to do so.
As will be noted, the DMPO’s notice appears to be a general call for webinar ideas and does not seem to be limited to any one particular area of MSP compliance.
Accordingly, this provides insurers and other stakeholders with a unique opportunity to provide the DMPO with ideas for webinars on a wide spectrum of MSP issues, particular topics of interest, areas for further clarification, etc. As such, insurers and other stakeholders may wish to take this opportunity to provide the DMPO with its feedback and ideas.
In the interim, the Verisk policy team is currently assessing this request in preparation to submit ideas and suggestions for webinar topics. Of course, please do not hesitate to contact the authors if you have any questions.
