June launch expected for Texas Driver Record Monitoring Service

It appears all systems are go for the Texas Driver Record Monitoring Service (DRMS) to launch in June, according to state sources.

The program will enable both insurers and employers to monitor driving records of Texas-licensed drivers and employees for adverse activity, such as a driver's license status change or a new moving violation.

Verisk participating in pilot

As a participant in the Texas DRMS pilot, Verisk will offer the monitoring service for insurers through the Driver Monitoring service. This program helps reduce risk by providing midterm warnings about serious motor vehicle violations or suspensions.

For employers, the program is offered through the DriverAdvisor^® Monitoring program. This solution can help employers take fast action, in accordance with their driver safety rules, when adverse driving activity is identified.

Updates will be provided through Visualize and other communication channels as Texas moves closer to its anticipated June DRMS launch date.
