Data shows $23 billion in roof replacement cost value (RCV) in 2025, with roof damage from hailstorms figuring prominently in these figures. Key findings from Verisk’s U.S. Roof Report 2025 include:

Average roof replacement costs reached $17,631 in 2025; roof repair costs averaged $4,697.

In high-hail states, 79% of homes have roofs 14 years old or newer—21% higher than in non-hail states.

Labor costs rose 0.79% year-over-year, while roofing materials increased 1.48%.

Midwest and Plains states continue to lead in roof damage from hailstorms.
