Sal Marino has spent over 30 years in the supply chain industry, including more than 16 years focused on cargo security, fraud prevention, and crime analytics. He serves as Vice President at CargoNet, a Verisk company, where he has helped drive the growth and expansion of one of the industry’s leading cargo theft intelligence and recovery networks. Prior to CargoNet, Sal held account management and business development roles with global transportation providers including DHL and UPS, building a strong foundation in logistics, operations, and customer strategy.
At CargoNet, Sal leads business development focused on supply chain and insurance risk management. He works with clients to implement intelligence driven strategies that reduce exposure to theft and fraud while increasing adoption of alerts, analytics, and route risk tools. His approach emphasizes practical solutions, strong client relationships, and cross functional collaboration aligned with organizational goals.
Sal serves as Co Chair of the Northeast Cargo Security Council and participates with the Inland Marine Underwriters Association, along with several other committees and boards supporting supply chain security.
