In a recent post, we provided the link to our COVID-19 Insights website, which is an excellent resource to keep track of emerging COVID-19 issues. Our informative website provides a variety of resources (including a state legislative/regulatory activity page) related to the potential impact of COVID-19 on insurer businesses, and more specifically, claim management trends and operations in this new environment.
Since our last update, there has been a flurry of legislative activity on several COVID-19 related issues, including workers’ compensation. Many insurers are concerned with how COVID-19 related legislative and regulatory changes could impact exposure and liability going forward.
In this update, we’re highlighting the Legislative and Regulatory Activities tab, which provides a state by state breakdown of certain COVID-19 related legislative and regulatory activity. For those interested in workers’ compensation, there’s a special breakout for workers’ compensation activity (where applicable) under the specific state of interest in a section called, “Items expressly addressing Workers’ Compensation.”
ISO Claims Partners will continue to monitor events related to the COVID-19 crisis and provide updates as warranted.
