In the late afternoon of March 24th, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a notice advising that it has postponed its Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside (WCMSA) Reporting Webinar, which was scheduled for March 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (ET).
CMS has rescheduled this webinar to April 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. (ET)

CMS describes this upcoming event as follows:
CMS will be hosting a MMSEA Section 111 Mandatory Insurer Reporting webinar to discuss WCMSA reporting. The intent of the webinar is to review the WCMSA reporting process and data fields that were required effective April 4, 2025. CMS will also discuss some of the issues encountered, and review WCMSA reporting best practices. All are welcome, but the intended audience for this webinar is the Section 111 reporting community (Responsible Reporting Entities (RREs) and Reporting Agents). In advance of the webinar, participants are encouraged to email general questions related to Section 111 WCMSA reporting to the resource mailbox at PL110-173SEC111-comments@cms.hhs.gov. Requests for an accessible format of the presentation should also be sent to this resource mailbox.
See CMS’s instructions on how you can attend this CMS webinar event, which will now be held on April 15th.
Comments
As noted above, the focus of this webinar relates to CMS’s TPOC/WCMSA reporting requirements. Exactly what CMS will cover on this webinar remains to be seen. However, in our recent article, we outlined and discussed several issues and problems experienced thus far as part of CMS’s implementation of its new TPOC/WCMSA policy. We are hopeful CMS will address these issues as part of this upcoming webinar.
Per usual, Verisk policy team members will attend this webinar, and we will release a webinar summary shortly following this event.
