Key findings from the 2015 Verisk Wildfire Risk Analysis

As California faces one of the most severe droughts on record, it's not surprising that the 2015 Verisk Wildfire Risk Analysis identifies it as the state with the most households at high or extreme risk from wildfires — more than 2 million homes.

Interestingly, Montana, one of the three new states added to this year's analysis, had the highest percentage of households with high or extreme wildfire risk, followed by Idaho, Colorado, and California.

The 2015 Verisk Wildfire Risk Analysis determined the number and percentage of households at high or extreme risk from wildfire in the 13 most wildfire-prone states. Here are some key findings from the analysis.
