Verisk Health Acquires TierMed Systems

End-to-end HEDIS® solution enhances Verisk Health suite of analytic products

WALTHAM, Mass., July 28, 2009— Verisk Health, Inc.,a global leader in healthcare data analytics, has acquired the assets of TierMed Systems, LLC, a leading provider of HEDIS® (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) solutions. The TierMed solution suite allows managed care organizations to calculate and submit HEDIS results to NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance), improve quality in covered populations, and reduce administrative overhead associated with quality reporting. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combined entity’s suite of tools uses the most advanced analytics and the most credible predictive models in the healthcare industry to transform healthcare data into informed, intelligent and actionable business decisions.
