Verisk Analytics Named Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 13, 2014 — Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK), a leading source of information about risk, has been recognized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador.

The Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador initiative formally recognizes companies that are improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events. As a WRN Ambassador, Verisk is committed to working with NOAA and other Ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather.

Verisk was selected as a WRN Ambassador based on its recent efforts to provide a unified message from the insurance industry to the National Hurricane Center for use in its public service announcements, interviews, and Spring 2014 Conference presentations.

“Working with NOAA, the National Hurricane Center, the Insurance Information Institute, the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, and the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes, Verisk is serving the public with a unified message that educates about disaster preparedness and response,” said Joe Louwagie, assistant vice president of the Property Claim Services® (PCS®) Division of Verisk Analytics.
