NEW YORK, Oct. 31, 2005 — The Insurance Federation of New York, Inc. (IFNY) will present its 2005 Free Enterprise Award to Frank J. Coyne, chairman, president, and CEO of ISO, at the group's 91st Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, November 2, at Cipriani, 110 East 42nd Street.
The featured speaker will be Seth H. Waugh, CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas.
The Insurance Federation of New York hosts its Free Enterprise Luncheon each year to salute captains of industry who champion free enterprise and exhibit exceptional leadership. Past honorees include Henry Ford II, Felix G. Rohatyn, Maurice R. Greenberg, B.P. Russell, Harry B. Helmsley, Malcolm S. Forbes, Robert Clements, Lewis Lehrman, Donald Trump, J. IFNY President Cecilia E. Norat said Coyne was chosen for his outstanding contribution to the development of ISO, an information services company that serves several industries, notably the insurance industry, with a variety of unique services and products.
"We selected Frank Coyne because of his remarkable foresight in leading ISO," said Norat. Norat, who is director of state relations at AIG, further noted, "ISO is a critical industry organization that serves the whole of society by helping to control risk, fight fraud, standardize insurance policy forms and much more. We're pleased to add Coyne to the list of our distinguished Free Enterprise Award recipients."
IFNY's featured luncheon speaker will be Seth Waugh, CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas. He was chosen for his commitment to bringing business back to Lower Manhattan and for the international financial acumen that has distinguished his career and made Deutsche Bank Americas a leader in its field.
According to IFNY Chairman Roger Moak, who is a Certified Arbitrator in private practice, Waugh was chosen for his particular vantage point as the U.S. leader of a European-based world organization.
"Seth Waugh joins our list of featured speakers, whose history is as illustrious as it is long. We look forward to his presentation and views on both the international business outlook and on Manhattan's redevelopment since 9/11," said Moak.
The Insurance Federation of New York, Inc., comprises insurance industry leaders who foster education on public policy issues affecting insurers and the public.
