JERSEY CITY, N.J., June 16, 2010 — RAM Mutual Insurance Company has implemented a new agency front-end system that integrates ISO’s QuickFill® data prefill process for personal automobile. RAM was incorporated in 1931 and serves the personal and commercial insurance needs of more than 500 independent agencies and their customers in Minnesota.
QuickFill delivers any combination of ISO’s 34 automobile and/or property databases to insurance carriers at the point of quote. Data elements include prior claims and coverage information, registered vehicles, location-specific property characteristics, estimated replacement-cost evaluations, hazard data, and drivers in the household. QuickFill data is available for personal lines automobile and property as well as commercial property and serves large and small carriers in all sales channels, including agency, web, and call centers.
According to Steve Knutson, president and CEO, RAM Mutual, “We’re committed to providing our agents and customers the best products supported by great technology. Our investment in new systems and data resources such as QuickFill promotes the ease-of-doing-business concept that allows RAM to compete very effectively with even the largest national carriers.”
“QuickFill can pull in elements such as the 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN), which is something that many customers don’t have easy access to but is important to rate the policy correctly,” added Knutson. “Our new process allows our agents to focus on serving the customer and finding the best insurance program, rather than chasing down missing information.”
“QuickFill is all about improving the customer and agent experience,” said John Cantwell, assistant vice president at ISO. “When customers get faster, more accurate rate quotes, they are more likely to buy a new policy and keep it. QuickFill also improves policy accuracy by helping to identify drivers in the household that should be listed on the policy.”
QuickFill is delivered via ISO Passport®, ISO’s technology platform that responds to millions of carrier and agent transaction requests each month. QuickFill is available in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
