NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 1999 — Christopher M. Foskett, Citibank's managing director for the global insurance industry, and David B. Wright, president and chief executive officer of Amdahl Corp., have been elected to the board of directors of Insurance Services Office, Inc., (ISO).
Foskett, 42, is responsible for Citibank's global business relationships with property/casualty and life insurers, reinsurers, and insurance brokers.
Before assuming his current position in October, Foskett led Salomon Smith Barney's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities in Latin America and Asia. Since 1997, Foskett had served as head of Citibank's M&A business in 17 countries, including industrialized countries and emerging markets. He joined Citibank in 1991, specializing in cross-border M&A involving the bank's insurance clients.
Foskett was a vice president at Goldman, Sachs & Co., focusing on financial-services M&A from 1986 to 1991. Previously he was with Merrill Lynch's financial institutions M&A group.
Foskett received his master's degree in business administration from Babson College in 1981. He received a bachelor of science degree with honors from Providence College in 1979.
David B. Wright, 52, has been Amdahl's president and chief executive officer since 1997. He served as executive vice president of Amdahl Systems Group responsible for all computer hardware products, systems-support services, and the field sales force from 1995 to1997. Wright earlier served as Amdahl's senior vice president and general manager of worldwide compatible-products operations, as vice president of Amdahl Europe, and as vice president in charge of all U.S. commercial sales. Wright joined Amdahl in 1987 as a vice president for sales and service in the northeast region of the United States.
Wright also serves on the boards of directors of Amdahl and the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group, a lobbying trade association in Northern California.
Before joining Amdahl, Wright served in a variety of staff and management positions at International Business Machines Corporation for 11 years.
Wright received his bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
