BOSTON, October 27, 2010 — AIR Worldwide (AIR) today announced that Ashish Belambe has been appointed vice president of Product Management. He joins AIR after four years of senior-level experience with ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies. In his new role, he will oversee existing product development, product quality assurance, and new product initiatives at AIR.
“Ashish brings to AIR a unique combination of industry experience and detailed knowledge of catastrophe modeling solutions,” said Uday Virkud, P.E., executive vice president at AIR Worldwide. “He will provide leadership to our product teams and guide AIR’s future product direction to meet the industry’s changing needs.”
Belambe has experience in catastrophe risk management, catastrophe models, insurance and reinsurance programs, product life-cycle management, and database technologies. He has worked globally with catastrophe analysts, managers, chief actuaries, chief underwriting officers, and underwriters. Belambe has also led initiatives on such diverse topics as blended model pricing, exposure data quality, catastrophe modeling standards, and catastrophe price monitoring.
Prior to joining ACE, Belambe served in a variety of capacities at AIR Worldwide on the client services and product management teams. As product manager, Belambe was responsible for managing product enhancements and release cycles for CLASIC/2TM, the application of choice for companies who need to accurately assess risk down to the individual location level.

Belambe has B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
