Sophisticated Data Loading Tool for SAP® EHSM Helps Users Better Manage Critical Regulatory Information for Productivity Gains, Cost Efficiencies, and Reduced Risk
Carlsbad, Calif., April 10, 2013 — 3E Company, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced the availability of Ariel Data Manager (ADM®)-EHSAP 4.0, a sophisticated data loading tool that provides easy and efficient maintenance of regulatory information at the substance level. The latest version features a product impact analysis module that allows users to determine the effect of changing regulations on products within the company’s SAP Environmental Health and Safety Management (EHSM) system. This new capability offers users detailed insight into the impact of regulatory changes on their products, facilitating informed decision making and consistent compliance practices throughout the enterprise. The module can also generate a report showing regulatory impact down to the ingredient level, which can be used as a filter to upload regulatory changes or downloaded as an Excel file for further analysis and reporting.
ADM-EHSAP 4.0 is a scalable, web-based solution that supports local data repository updates over the Internet or via a physical medium such as CD or DVD. It continues to deliver accurate and up-to-date regulatory information for EH&S professionals. Other new features include the following:
- Support for the load of Limited Quantity (LQ), Excepted Quantity (EQ), and HAZCHEM codes transportation data via the dangerous goods module of the ADM-EHSAP application.
- New “expand all” option in the decision support module allows users to expand and collapse all nodes of the regulatory tree.
- Delete data feature for a specific regulatory filter allows deletion of regulatory data from the SAP EHSM application for a specific list of substances using a regulatory filter; associated data is also available for review in decision support.
- Usability improvements to the home page navigation.
- Improved impact analysis and decision support module performance.
“Determining the effect of regulations on products can be overwhelming for a global company. To ease this burden, 3E has expanded the ADM-EHSAP 4.0 analytics by adding an innovative new product regulatory impact analysis function,” said Julia Tsvetkova, director of product management, 3E Company. “Because the feature set is designed specifically with SAP EHSM professionals in mind, this latest version of ADM-EHSAP offers a variety of new features to help users better analyze the impact of regulatory change on their operations, ultimately delivering better visibility and compliance.”
EH&S professionals are burdened with the need to track hundreds of constantly changing regulations that apply to thousands of substances throughout numerous country jurisdictions. ADM-EHSAP alleviates this task with easy and efficient maintenance of regulatory information within SAP EHSM at the ingredient level. During the initial integration of data, users make decisions about what regulations are relevant based on their own unique business requirements and rules. These decisions are stored so that when future updates are loaded, the user can easily identify what regulations have changed since the last update. Users review all information before loading into the SAP EHSM system, enabling informed decision making related to the organization’s product safety and stewardship requirements.
ADM-EHSAP 4.0 is available immediately. Pricing is based on the number of regulatory content modules used.
