Module Streamlines Regulatory Reporting Requirements for Increased Efficiency and Cost Savings
Carlsbad, CA., January 30, 2013 — 3E Company, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced the availability of a new EPCRA Reporting Module for use with its 3E Online®-MSDS safety data sheet (SDS) management platform. The new module helps customers comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Data from 3E Online-MSDS is used to complete the EPCRA reports, greatly reducing the time and effort spent to fulfill reporting requirements.
The EPCRA Reporting Module simplifies EPCRA reporting by making the relevant data easily accessible. The module combines customers’ existing site-specific inventory data with data from 3E’s vast database of SDSs to generate customized regulatory reporting information. Indexed and classified data stored and hosted within 3E Online is matched to the current SDS, enabling users to easily extract and update chemicals at a specific site for regulatory reporting purposes. The flexible tool also allows users to make adjustments independent of the SDS management inventory within 3E Online.
Other features of the module include:
- simple account and site setup — Users simply enter and update information about each facility they want to appear on location EPCRA reports.
- quantity data updates — Users extract a location’s inventory to provide that information for EPCRA reporting purposes.
- enhanced reporting capabilities — Users can import and manipulate chemical data within 3E Online to generate reports by chemical or by product for more streamlined reporting. The location-specific data within 3E Online can be exported with relevant 3E SDS data to then provide site-related regulatory reporting information for upload.
- support for a variety of regulatory reports — Users can produce a variety of regulatory reports, including a Tier II submit export; a Tier II submit short form; hazardous materials business plans (HMBP); hazardous materials management plans (HMMP); and CERS data seed templates
“3E’s new EPCRA Reporting Module provides customers with the necessary regulatory reports for chemicals within their specific locations while also extracting and updating a site-specific chemical inventory that serves as the foundation for EPCRA reporting and other corresponding regulatory reports,” said Mike Ryan, product manager, 3E Company. “This new solution will be very well received by EH&S professionals to support their EPCRA reporting tasks, which can be cumbersome and time-intensive. Using the module will save users time and effort while helping them fulfill their regulatory reporting requirements.”
The EPCRA Reporting Module is available immediately. 3E Company offers a complete line of regulatory reporting services to streamline and simplify the regulatory reporting compliance process.
