Company Recognized for Providing Outstanding Supply Chain Communication through Its 3ESC Platform
Carlsbad, Calif., February 18, 2014 — 3E Company, a leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced that it has received a Business Achievement Award from the Environmental Business Journal® (EBJ) in the information technology category. EBJ recognized the company for the introduction of 3ESC™, a robust platform that helps companies navigate the complexities associated with achieving product- and substance-level regulatory compliance while also helping mitigate risk in the supply chain. This is the eighth time that 3E Company has received an EBJ Business Achievement Award. 3E Company is a subsidiary of Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK).
EBJ honored 3E Company for launching its 3ESC platform for enhanced regulatory and risk management. The new web-based platform is the foundation for 3E’s supply chain solution. It features a range of associated content and services to support product compliance initiatives, such as compliance assurance, supplier engagement, customer response, reasonable country of origin inquiry (RCOI) due diligence, and information and documentation management. 3ESC serves as a central repository for critical product, supplier, and raw material risk information, including product content, compliance status, and country of origin. The platform contains content collected from upstream suppliers by 3E’s team of global obtainment specialists and enriched by 3E’s team of regulatory experts.
The EBJ Business Achievement Awards recognize outstanding business performance and innovation in the environmental industry. Sponsored by Environmental Business International, which publishes the Environmental Business Journal, the 2013 EBJ Business Achievement Award winners were determined by a committee of EBJ staff and EBJ editorial advisory board members.
“Supply chain product compliance has become deeply complex to manage, with companies under increasing pressure to disclose detailed information about their products and the substances within those products,” said Grant Ferrier, editor in chief, Environmental Business Journal. “With data playing an increasingly vital role in successfully managing supply chain compliance obligations, we congratulate 3E for providing manufacturers, retailers, and users of raw materials and finished goods with the tools they need to understand both existing and emerging obligations.”
“It is a true honor to receive our eighth consecutive Business Achievement Award from the EBJ,” said Robert S. Christie, CEO, 3E Company. “Developing innovative solutions that support improved supply chain compliance is a key focus for our company, so it is very rewarding to be recognized for our role in helping companies meet their supply chain compliance obligations while enriching their businesses through improved market access and enhanced competitive agility.”
The 2013 EBJ awards will be presented in a special ceremony at Environmental Industry Summit XII on March 12, 2014, in San Diego, California.
