WebInsight 6.0 offers users increased efficiency, flexibility, and improved compliance management
CARLSBAD, CA, January 3, 2011 — 3E Company®, the leading provider of environmental health and safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced the availability of WebInsight version 6.0, the latest version of its web-based chemical regulatory compliance reference tool. The latest version includes new GHS tools and Physical, Chemical, Toxicity and Eco-toxicological Content (PCTEC) data for increased efficiency, flexibility and improved environmental regulatory compliance management.
Ariel WebInsight 6.0 adds a GHS mixture classification module to the already-existing GHS reference and labeling functionality of the application. The GHS mixture classification is based on the health and environmental hazards of the mixture or substance. Users can also enter physical hazards of the mixture for reference on the final classification report. WebInsight 6.0 also allows the generation of GHS labels in English, Korean, and Japanese.
WebInsight 6.0 features a new PCTEC data module. PCTEC is now available from the home and database tabs, alongside the regulatory modules of the application. The new module provides summary database content of end points from NLM’s Hazardous Substance Databank (HSDB) and EPA’s Acquire databases. The PCTEC data is automatically pulled in at a substance level to facilitate GHS classification of the mixture.
These new features bring a range of user benefits, including:
- Increased efficiency. Users can quickly and easily derive a suggested GHS classification and generate a classification audit report with just a few clicks.
- Flexibility. Users can leverage the industry leading Ariel regulatory and scientific data or their own corporate data.
- Improved Compliance. Users can generate GHS labels with all necessary pictograms, hazard and precautionary statements.
“The introduction of WebInsight 6.0 further strengthens 3E’s leadership in the chemical regulatory content market,” said Julia Tsvetkova, product manager, 3E Company. “Version 6.0 prominently includes many comprehensive GHS enhancements. The new classification and labeling features are especially noteworthy because they are two of the most cumbersome aspects of GHS compliance. The introduction of these new features will save our customers valuable time and resources.”
Ariel WebInsight 6.0 is available immediately. Existing customers will immediately upgrade to WebInsight version 6.0. The PCTEC and GHS mixture classification modules are separate subscriptions, with pricing based on the number of licensed users. Pricing for Ariel WebInsight is based on the number of licensed users and modules selected.
