The most effective and cost-efficient way to access the ISO ClaimSearch database for claims reporting and searching is through a direct host-to-host connection. ISO ClaimSearch can accept a data stream from your central claims system and will return match reports automatically.
The system can receive claims and return reports through secure FTP or IBM's WebSphereMQ (formerly MQ Series). If you wish to report through a central system, Verisk will supply complete reporting specifications.
To submit first and subsequent notice-of-loss information to ISO ClaimSearch through a host-to-host connection, you can use the ACORD XML standard for claims-investigation messages.

With the Universal Format you get more data fields — for more lines of insurance — than previous methods of reporting. And the Universal Format gives you a single data-entry point for multiline claims. It is also the delivery mechanism for new services, such as claims scores.
