Verisk’s approach to giving reflects the Company’s mission to help people, communities, and businesses become stronger, more resilient, and more sustainable. We engage our people through annual volunteer events, employee gift matching, and time off for volunteering.
Our giving strategy operates in four tiers:
On a global and national level, Verisk provides direct financial and in-kind support to advance important initiatives sponsored by leading organizations with missions and activities that complement our professional expertise and brand.
We also support the communities where our offices are located and address challenges of interest to our employees. These range from museums to youth organizations, hospitals to homeless shelters, and organizations serving domestic violence victims, disabled veterans, first responders, and more.
Verisk matches donations made by employees to reputable charitable organizations worldwide. Matches are made at 100% of the donation amount, subject to program limits, with an annual cap of $5,000 per employee.
Verisk employees receive eight hours of paid time annually to participate in our global Volunteer Week or to support a cause of their own choosing. Verisk Volunteer Week has been held annually since 2014, bringing together team members across the globe to give back to their communities. Through activities such as blood drives, park and beach cleanups, STEM tutoring, clothing and book drives, and volunteering at animal shelters, employees have made a meaningful difference in the communities where Verisk operates.
Verisk also invites employees who volunteer outside of work to nominate themselves and the organization they support for our Exceptional Volunteers Award Program. This initiative celebrates team members who give back, embody our commitment to caring, and help build resilience for the communities in which they live and work. Verisk recognized selected employees by making a $2,500 donation to the organizations they serve.
Verisk is a proud participant in these leading sustainability-focused organizations that support business and communities:
