Login Details Now Available for CMS Section 111 penalties webinar

As many will recall, in early December 2023 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a “save the date” notice advising that it would be holding a Section 111 civil money penalties webinar on January 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET regarding non-group health plans (NGHP). As part of this prior notice, CMS did not include the “call-in” information stating that this information would be provided at a later date.

Please note that CMS has now released a new notice providing information on how the public can attend its January 18, 2024 NGHP CMPs webinar. Please see CMS’s notice here which explains how you can attend CMS’s webinar.

In terms of what will be covered, CMS’s new notice states as follows: “CMS will be hosting a webinar regarding Certain Civil Money Penalties Final Rule for NGHP Responsible Reporting Entities (RREs). The format will be opening remarks and a presentation by CMS that will include discussion of the Final Rule, the auditing process and important dates, followed by a question and answer session. RREs who would like to submit questions in advance of the webinar are encouraged to do so using the dedicated resource mailbox at Sec111CMP@cms.hhs.gov.”
