Honors and Awards
The mission of Verisk Analytics is to help our customers make better decisions about risk, investments, and operations with greater precision, efficiency, and discipline. In carrying out that mission, we often earn recognition from industry organizations, publications, and others. Here's a sample of the honors and awards our businesses have recently received:
Forbes magazine has named Verisk Analytics to its World’s Best Employers list. Companies are ranked based on survey results of more than 430,000 employees who were asked how likely they were to recommend their own employer and to recommend other employers they admired.
Forbes magazine has named Verisk Analytics to its America’s Best Employers for Women list. This first-ever ranking surveyed 40,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. They were asked to rate their organizations on criteria such as working conditions, diversity, and how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others, as well as to nominate organizations outside their industry.
Verisk Analytics has received the Great Place to Work® Certification for the third consecutive year. Companies earn the certification through an anonymous annual employee survey that measures behaviors that lead to a trusting environment and the ways in which credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie are expressed in the workplace.
Verisk chairman, president, and chief executive officer Scott Stephenson received the Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 award (New Jersey region) from EY. The award recognizes leading entrepreneurs who break the mold to create new solutions and innovations that redefine how we live and work.
For two consecutive years, Forbes magazine has named Verisk Analytics as a best employer. In 2017, Verisk was named to Forbes' America's Best Mid-Size Employers list, adding to the company's 2016 America's Best Large Employers recognition. Companies are ranked based on results from a survey of more than 30,000 U.S. employees who were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer and how they felt about other companies in the industry.
For three consecutive years, Forbes magazine has named Verisk Analytics to its World’s Most Innovative Companies list. The list recognizes 100 firms that investors expect to be innovative now and in the future while continuing to achieve profitable growth.
Verisk Analytics has been named to the NASDAQ-100 Index for the fifth consecutive year. The index includes the 100 largest nonfinancial securities listed on the NASDAQ stock market.
The New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) named Verisk Analytics Public Company of the Year for 2014.
The Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) selected Dr. Therese M. Vaughan, a member of Verisk’s Board of Directors, as the 2014 recipient of the Insurance Woman of the Year Award.
The Society of Insurance Research (SIR) presented its President's Organization Award to Verisk.
For two consecutive years, The Star-Ledger placed Verisk Analytics on its list of New Jersey’s Top 100 Companies.
The 3E Online-SDS 9.0 safety data sheet (SDS) management platform won an Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHN) Readers’ Choice Award in the SDS management category in 2015.
Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) honored Verisk 3E nine times with the Business Achievement Award. The award recognizes the company for continually providing its customers with the highest-quality environmental regulatory information and content to support compliance management across the supply chain.
For four consecutive years, Occupational Health and Safety magazine has honored Verisk 3E with Product of the Year awards.
Verisk 3E has won numerous Workplace HR & Safety magazine (formerly Compliance Magazine) Commitment to Safety Awards.
The Digital Insurance Awards 2016 gave "AIR Cyber Risk Solutions" the Bedrock Award for Data Analytics Project of the Year.
AIR Worldwide received the Market Facilitator of the Year award at the 2015 Trading Risk Awards.
Intelligent Insurer Magazine has named AIR Worldwide Best Risk Modelling Services Provider in 2015.
Reactions magazine selected AIR Worldwide as the Best Latin America Risk Modeler (Latin America Awards) for the second consecutive year.
Reactions magazine selected AIR Worldwide as the Best Risk Modeling Firm (North America Awards) for the fourth consecutive year.
Business Insurance magazine honored CargoNet with an Innovation Award. The award recognizes leadership, inventiveness, and ingenuity in products and services designed for and marketed to professional risk managers handling hazard and operational risks.
HRO Today magazine named IntelliCorp one of the top 13 providers of full-service workplace screening.
The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) recognized IntelliCorp as BSCC accredited.
Workforce Management magazine placed IntelliCorp on its Hot List of Employment-Related Screening Providers.
Insurance Ratemaking and a Gini Index, coauthored by David Cummings, senior vice president, Insurance Operations and Analytics, ISO, to receive the American Risk and Insurance Association prize. The award goes to the paper providing the most valuable contribution to casualty actuarial science.
The Casualty Actuarial Society has honored Patrick Woods, assistant vice president and actuary at ISO Insurance Programs and Analytic Services, with the Matthew Rodermund Service Award. The award recognizes his "considerable volunteer contributions to the actuarial profession over the course of a career."
The Child Support Lien Network (CSLN) selected John Giknis, assistant vice president, ISO ClaimSearch, to receive the John F. Murphy Memorial Award in recognition of "his tireless efforts and commitment to helping the insurance industry and the child support community build one of the most effective and successful data match programs in the country."
A Corporate Excellence Award was presented to ISO by the CPCU Society’s New Jersey Chapter, recognizing the company’s dedication to insurance education and professionalism and its consistent support for the work of the society.
Inc. magazine twice placed ISO on the annual Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies. (As a public company, Verisk is no longer eligible for the award.)
The Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA) honored Peter Marotta, principal consultant of data management at ISO, as the first recipient of the Gary W. Knoble Service Award. The award recognizes IDMA members for "significant volunteer contributions" to the data management profession.
The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) honored Robbie Tanner of ISO's Workers' Compensation Information Services with the EDI Award of Merit.
National Equipment Register (NER)
The FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) presented National Equipment Register with an Education Award, recognizing the company as "an outstanding example of corporate America giving back to our communities."
The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce selected Xactware as Business of the Year. The honor, announced at the annual Arthur V. Watkins awards dinner, cited Xactware’s record of growth and the company’s many successful new products and services.
