Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Melissa Hendricks is senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Verisk Analytics. As CMO, Ms. Hendricks oversees the company’s marketing and design services, corporate communications, and marketing communications. Her responsibilities include branding and go-to-market strategy, social media, media and public relations, e-commerce and websites, events and travel, and alumni relations.
Before joining Verisk, Ms. Hendricks served as vice president, Worldwide Marketing and Communications for Cerner Corporation, where she was responsible for the stewardship of the Cerner brand across domestic and global markets as well as all corporate marketing functions, including creative and campaigns, demand generation, content marketing, media relations, executive communications, thought leadership, reputation management, social marketing, content marketing and strategy, and operations.
Previously at Cerner, Ms. Hendricks served as vice president, Marketing Strategy and Corporate Communications, responsible for the corporate brand, digital experience, market intelligence, industry partnerships, and internal communications. She has led multiple projects, including rebranding of the corporate identity and the redesign of Cerner’s digital presence. Before joining Cerner, Ms. Hendricks served in various marketing, brand, and account management roles in the consumer packaged goods and pharmaceuticals industries.
Ms. Hendricks received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Missouri – Columbia and an M.B.A. from Rockhurst University.
Ms. Hendricks has been an active volunteer in her community and serves on various boards of not-for-profit organizations and schools.
