Cargo theft. Organized retail crime. Theft of construction and agricultural equipment.
Verisk Crime Analytics uses data aggregation and management, analytical tools, and training to help our customers predict, measure, deter, and respond to crime risks.
At the center of Verisk Crime Analytics is a set of unique national crime databases that collect, share, and analyze crime data to support law enforcement and reduce the economic effects of crime for our clients.
The cargo theft prevention and recovery network
CargoNet® is a national database and information-sharing system managed by crime analysts and subject matter experts. The system is designed to prevent cargo theft and improve recovery rates through secure and controlled information sharing among theft victims, their business partners, and law enforcement. CargoNet offers advanced analytics, integrated databases, a theft alert system, 24-hour support for investigations, and a tractor/trailer theft deterrence program.
Heavy equipment risk management
The National Equipment Register® (NER®) is a national database and information-sharing system that helps owners of construction and agricultural equipment manage their risks. Equipment owners and their insurers use NER's equipment marking and registration program to deter theft. The program also helps law enforcement recover stolen equipment. And NER offers a machine history report that significantly reduces the financial and reputational risks associated with unknowingly purchasing or selling stolen equipment.
The third leg of our crime prevention strategy is training.
Employee training and e-learning courses
Learn it Solutions produces interactive employee training courses that deliver consistent messages to the right people at the right time. We develop scenario-based courses and offer them through a variety of e-learning formats. The training covers such topics as loss prevention, investigations, risk management, driver safety, and more.
