Verisk Launches A-PLUS Commercial
New InsurTech solution provides reliable loss run reports at point of sale for commercial lines underwriting
JERSEY CITY, N.J., June 18, 2019 — Verisk (Nasdaq:VRSK), a leading data analytics provider, announced today the launch of A-PLUS™ Commercial, an InsurTech solution that provides point-of-sale loss runs with detailed claim histories of risks that insurers are looking to underwrite.
“In today’s fast-paced market, commercial lines insurers need to make precise underwriting decisions at the time of quote,” said Deborah Morris, senior vice president of commercial lines at Verisk. “Insurers who contribute data to A-PLUS Commercial can access reliable loss run reports in seconds rather than weeks, avoid time-consuming follow-ups, and focus on assessing risk for all commercial lines.”
A-PLUS Commercial automates the cumbersome process of obtaining loss runs and gives participating carriers access to information on all commercial lines. That includes property, auto, general liability, professional liability, businessowners, farmowners, workers’ compensation, and ocean marine. Insurers can only use A-PLUS Commercial for lines of business to which they contribute data.
A-PLUS Commercial is fueled by data from ISO ClaimSearch®, a claims evaluation tool that’s relied on by more than 90 percent of insurers and features more than 1.3 billion claim histories. By participating in A-PLUS Commercial, carriers can access this robust claims information and incorporate it into their underwriting processes.
