Verisk Wins Innovation Award for Its EPIX Energy Insurance Platform
JERSEY CITY, N.J., November 27, 2018 — Verisk (Nasdaq:VRSK), a leading data analytics provider, has won the 2018 North American Insurance Innovation Award presented by The Digital Insurer, a leading forum for professionals interested in the impact of technology on insurance business models. Verisk was recognized for its energy insurance platform—the Energy & Power Intelligence Xchange™(EPIX™).
“EPIX is a powerful platform that can help energy insurance professionals research, assess, and underwrite complex risks with broad data from across the industry,” said Elizabeth Casas, managing director of Energy and Insurance for ISO, a Verisk business. “The innovation award is recognition that our solution is responding to a critical need for risk scoring and benchmarking in this highly segmented market.”
The award was voted by participants of The Digital Insurer Global LIVEFEST, a virtual festival for digital insurance, following a live webinar with brief presentations from four North American finalists. Verisk defeated three other finalists to win the award, including a financial services company in Canada, a life and health insurer in Mexico, and a data analytics business in the United States.
EPIX will now compete November 30 for the Global Insurance Innovation Award against the winning companies from Africa, Asia, and Europe. To learn more and register for the event, visit the LIVEFEST website.
