Meet the Presenters

Jeff Young

VP - Product Innovation
Verisk

Jeff Young is vice president of product innovation within the Analytics Center of Excellence at Verisk focused on development of analytic business intelligence and benchmarking products. Jeff’s background spans over 20 years within the healthcare and property and casualty industries within the areas of fraud detection and prevention, data analytics, and customer relationships. The past fourteen years have been focused on managing the development and launch of multiple software solutions. Jeff received his Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah.

Sam Warren

Lead Data Scientist
Verisk

Samuel Warren comes from a mathematical background, having completed studies in applied mathematics at Newcastle University (UK). In his current role, he leads computer vision and deep learning initiatives for the Analytics Centre of Excellence here at Verisk. Over the last two years, he has worked to automate both internal and external processes via the use of applied AI. Prior to his role in ACE, he worked for Emergent Network Intelligence creating much of the initial IP for their AI-driven automated claims solution, Intelligent Vehicle Inspection. Additionally, he has worked in a research capacity for Newcastle University, analysing data on the structure of neutral hydrogen in the interstellar medium.
