Beth Fitzgerald is senior vice president, industry engagement, ISO. Ms. Fitzgerald helps represent ISO to the global property/casualty insurance industry, participating in meetings with organizations both in the United States and around the world. Ms. Fitzgerald uses her broad experience and knowledge of insurance to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including insurers, regulators, agents/brokers, and actuaries.

Before her current role, Ms. Fitzgerald served as president of ISO Solutions, where she oversaw the development of ISO’s core products and services, including advisory prospective loss costs (projections of future claims), policy forms, underwriting rules, and related information products that most insurers use to write one or more lines of commercial or personal business.

Ms. Fitzgerald is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She is also a member and currently serves as Vice Chair of Finance of the Actuarial Standards Board (ASB).

Hernan L. Medina is senior principal data scientist at ISO. He leads data exploration, as well as the development of databases and analytic platforms in support of ISO's insurance analytics. He has more than 28 years of experience, almost evenly divided among data management, actuarial pricing analysis, and predictive modeling.

Mr. Medina graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from St. Peter’s University and a master of science degree in mathematics from New York University. He has earned the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Management (AIM), Associate in Personal Insurance (API), Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), and Associate in Underwriting (AU).

Su Wash is an actuarial analyst in ISO’s analytic products department. Ms. Wash is responsible for implementation support and product development for the ISO Risk Analyzer® suite of predictive modeling tools. She recently wrote about businessowners policy pricing for ISO’s Between the Lines newsletter.

Ms. Wash earned a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics and psychology from Stony Brook University and earned a master of arts degree in statistics from Columbia University.

Jim Weiss

Jim Weiss is the director of analytic solutions for ISO, where he helps develop and implements the ISO Risk Analyzer® suite of predictive modeling products and services. Mr. Weiss is also leading new efforts to use social media and wellness analytics in property/casualty insurance.

His articles have been published in Carrier Management, Telematics Wire, and Verisk Review, and he often presents insights at insurance industry events such as those sponsored by the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and the Society of Insurance Research.

Jim graduated with a bachelor of science in mathematics degree from Manhattan College and has earned the designations of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Douglas Wing is an assistant vice president of analytic products for ISO. He is responsible for the ISO Risk Analyzer® suite of predictive analytic tools. Mr. Wing champions initiatives in analytics and predictive modeling that enhance ISO’s offerings. He has more than ten years of experience building and implementing insurance analytics.

Before joining Verisk, Mr. Wing was in actuarial research and development at Liberty Mutual.

Mr. Wing graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from the University of Maine and earned a master of science degree in pure mathematics from the University of Massachusetts.
