As reported late last year, iiX was selected to participate in a pilot of the Texas Driver Record Monitoring Service (DRMS). The DRMS program will enable both employers and insurers to monitor driver records of Texas-licensed employees and insured drivers for adverse activity, such as a driver license status change or a new moving violation.
The monitoring service for employers will be offered through the iiX DriverAdvisor® Monitoring program, which can help employers take fast action, in accordance with their driver safety rules, when adverse driving activity is identified. For insurers, the program is offered through the Verisk – insurance solutions Driver Monitoring service. This program helps to reduce risk by providing midterm warnings about serious motor vehicle violations or suspensions.
While the Texas Department of Public Safety has been delayed in launching its DRMS initiative, we remain consistent in our readiness to provide the service as soon as possible. When can you expect to begin monitoring your Texas drivers? We are hoping for a late Q3 or Q4 offering. Watch this blog, as well as other iiX communication channels, for updates.
