Integration will dramatically reduce personal injury claim life cycles
- New independent cloud-based solution provides general practitioners (GPs) with unrestricted reporting when filing personal injury (PI) claims
- Provides all parties with seamless integration to all parts of PI claim process
London, U.K., 28 January, 2013 — Insurance Services Office (ISO) Limited, a leading U.K. provider of personal injury claims solutions, has announced the integration of its PICAS® Plus PI claims management solution with iSaaS Technology’s cloud-based medical reporting system, ePIsource Medical (powered by Corex Reports). The collaboration enables general practitioners (GPs) to use the iSaaS solution to report on personal injury claims using a new open-text platform. This extends the medical reporting capabilities available through PICAS Plus, which is already integrated with WARP Technologies’ reporting software.
ePIsource Medical enables GPs to create their own menus when filing a PI claim and avoids the ‘tick box trap,’ enhancing reporting capabilities when processing a claim. ISO coding within PICAS Plus, which runs contextually behind the front-end form, then enables the PI claim to be populated automatically into ISO Claims Outcome Advisor® (COATM). The solution further enhances iSaaS’s offering to the medical PI market by providing GPs with access to the cloud-based application from anywhere, anytime, which is already in use by four top medical agencies, including Mobile Doctors and Speed Medical Examination Services.
Adam Tulk, CEO of iSaaS Technology, commented, “We’ve already seen more than 250,000 medical reports produced on ePIsource Medical, and we’re currently transacting approximately 6,000 reports each month for a large number of medico-legal agencies. We look forward to working more extensively with ISO and specifically working with medical agencies, lawyers, and insurers to bring them the benefits of streamlining the PI claims process.”
Joe Pendle, director of Client Services, ISO, said, “Combining ePIsource Medical with our existing PICAS Plus system enables claims to be evaluated and settled very quickly.”
“For ISO, the relationship will dramatically improve the efficiency of the settlement process. The more medical agencies that integrate with PICAS Plus, the more solicitors and claimants can benefit from the streamlining of the claims process that PICAS Plus brings. The integration with ePIsource Medical is a major step forward for the industry,” added Pendle.
PICAS Plus works with the industry-leading ISO Claims Outcome Advisor to automate the evaluation of motor PI claims. Using information covering 18,000 medical conditions, COA provides users greater consistency of valuations. With PICAS Plus, the ISO system can import medical details via the appropriate medical reporting software, which automatically populates COA with the relevant information and then runs an estimated settlement assessment on behalf of the insurer and returns the insurer’s response to the MOJ portal.
