While you’re in Chicago, don’t miss the keynote by Verisk’s Jim Levendusky, vice president, Telematics. In his talk on Wednesday, September 7, titled “Shared Driving Has Become a Reality,” Jim will discuss why usage-based insurance is taking firm root in the auto insurance market. He’ll address how the launch of a new telematics data exchange is marking the move to supplement proprietary driver data.
Jim will explain how original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnerships boost OEM brand loyalty and drive OEM’s continued stake in connected car insurance. He’ll describe how the exchange provides access to large data sets and transforms raw information into insights—saving time, cost, and enabling faster innovation for insurers. And he’ll also talk about how telematics can facilitate fleet management, streamline claims, and mitigate losses proactively.
In addition to his keynote, Jim is participating in one of the Data Analytics, Portability, & Security track panel discussions. His panel session, “The Data Exchange: The Answer to UBI Explosion,” will explore the progression of UBI and the development of methods to analyze, transfer, and store data via data clearing houses or exchanges, which are set to transform the norms of data transfer.
Also look for Verisk’s Dawn Mortimer, assistant vice president, IoT/Telematics Claims Leader, who’ll participate in a Claims track panel discussion. Her panel session, “Telematics: Streamline Claims & Accident Management,” will explore the value of integrating telematics into the claims process, with a specific focus on events that take place after a car accident.
