Verisk Conference to Offer Sessions Targeted for Auto Insurers

By Chip Chaffee August 24, 2011

October's Verisk Insurance Solutions Customer Conference is just around the corner.  It’s a great opportunity for leaders in our industry to come together, share ideas, and get insights from experts across the industry and the Verisk enterprise.

This year’s program has a number of workshops for auto insurers. One session in particular you shouldn’t miss is “Best Practices: Quoting Auto and Homeowners Insurance in Multiple Sales Channels.” The session will examine point-of-sale underwriting to support your sales and growth strategies. It will also focus on how leading carriers are executing those strategies and striking a balance with these facets of a successful underwriting program:

  • customer/agent experience
  • data quality
  • expense control
  • risk selection/pricing integrity
  • support for cross-selling auto and homeowners policies
  • fraud control
  • emerging technologies

This session is on one of many that professionals in auto insurance will find valuable. Other auto-related sessions include:

Integrating Weather Intelligence into the Claims Process
Learn how to reduce losses from straight-line winds, hail, and other noncatastrophic weather by integrating weather intelligence into the claims process.

Use of Predictive Modeling for Commercial Lines
Hear about how to use predictive modeling to update current rating plans. You’ll also get an overview of our new predictive modeling product, the ISO Risk Analyzer® Commercial Auto Environmental Module.

Telematics and Automobile Insurance
Get a basic road map for building a telematics-based insurance program. You’ll learn about how to use telematics data and ways to overcome roadblocks such as privacy concerns.

Use of Predictive Modeling for Personal Auto Rate Refinement
Learn how ISO is using predictive analytics to create new personal auto products and services, including vehicle rating for physical damage coverages.

Regulatory Compliance for Claims

The conference will take place October 2 to 4, 2011, at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. If you haven’t registered yet, I encourage you to take a moment to check out our conference agenda. If you work in auto insurance, I’m sure you’ll find the program to be an exceptional value.
