The Impact of Rhode Island Medical Assistance Intercept Act on Insurers

By Kate O'Kelly July 31, 2013

Kate O'KellyBased on the response to our complimentary ISO ClaimSearch® Medicaid Reporting Service, it’s clear that the new mandatory Rhode Island Medicaid reporting and verification requirements have gotten the attention of most of the industry’s leading insurers. The state’s Medical Assistance Intercept Act requires all insurers that write workers' compensation or liability policies in Rhode Island to participate in a data-match program called the Medical Assistance Intercept System (MAIS).

To ensure that our clients’ data-match efforts adhere to those regulations, we’ve introduced the ISO ClaimSearch Medicaid Reporting Service. As a result, a majority of the top 20 players are working with us to meet Rhode Island’s new requirements. All we need is your initial authorization, and we do the rest through established processes, with little or no effect on your business operations.

If you’d like more information about the free ISO ClaimSearch Medicaid Reporting Service, please visit our information page. You can access our on-demand webinar, brochure, and FAQ to learn about the reporting requirements and benefits of the free service.
