Rhode Island Seeks Further Adoption of Medicaid Reporting

Since 2012, ISO ClaimSearch® has been working with its membership to increase reporting of qualified claims to the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), as required by Rhode Island law. The EOHHS has been disappointed with the overall adoption to date and believes only a minority of companies obligated under the legislation are submitting claims for review. In response to the slow adoption, the EOHHS has initiated a mailing campaign to increase compliance. The EOHHS is currently sending explanatory letters to general counsel and compliance officers of property/casualty insurers that write business in Rhode Island.

While we’ve made good progress with our membership’s adoption, the EOHHS has requested that ISO send you a courtesy copy of its recent announcement. The letter, which you can access here, explains the program and its requirements.Adoption by our members is easy, and the ISO ClaimSearch Medicaid Reporting Service is free for ISO ClaimSearch participants. Please contact your ISO representative or Customer Support at 1-800-888-4476 or info.claimsearch@iso.com if you have questions or would like to subscribe to the reporting service through ISO.
