PRIUM’s Mark Pew and Dorothy Kelly of ISO Claims Partners Outline MSA Cost Containment Strategies

By Tammora Warren February 4, 2014

PRIUM’s senior vice president of product development, Mark Pew, will team with Dorothy Kelly, CEO of ISO Claims Partners, to present “War Games: Winning Strategies for MSA Cost Containment & Settlement” at the Atlanta Claims Association Workers’ Compensation Boot Camp.

High future pharmacy cost present barriers to settling workers' compensation claims and their corresponding Medicare Set-Sides (MSAs). Pew and Kelly will discuss complicating factors to the MSA process and introduce the concept of preparing a package of evidence before submitting the MSA proposal. They will examine pros and cons for various cost-control methods, and case studies will demonstrate how physician engagement and case management reduce the scope of inappropriate drug regimens and prepare claims for a smooth MSA process.
