When the ISO ClaimSearch® mobile app launched in August, it provided users with on-the-go access to Claims Inquiry. Whether at the office or in the field, users can easily tap the app to search the entire ISO ClaimSearch database consisting of more than 1 billion claims. To assist adjusters in developing claims and aid SIU in broadening investigations, the app also proactively suggests additional external data sources relevant to the claim.
Now, a new version of the app is available that provides additional functionality, making it an essential tool for adjusters and SIU staff on the go:
- VINassist™ powered by the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) allows users to detect incorrectly recorded VINs, altered VINs, VINs switched from other vehicles, and VINs that describe vehicles never manufactured.
- Driver’s license scanner allows users to scan the barcode located on any driver’s license without having to manually key in name, address, or driver’s license number.
- Google Maps with satellite and street view, along with multiple-locations pinning, allows users to see the location of loss in relation to the insured or claimant address. The street and satellite views provide different map capabilities while investigating prior losses.
The app is a great way for field reps, claim handlers, and investigators to narrow down and identify specific claims characteristics by customizing their searches.
