Decision Net Streamlines Access to Vehicle Data

Is lack of access to a vehicle’s license plate number preventing you from securing key information on a vehicle, such as registration and maintenance records?

Our new License Plate Lookup on ISO ClaimSearch® Decision Net® can help. This new online tool provides streamlined access to a vehicle’s license plate and — using a plate number and state of registration — confirmation of the vehicle’s ownership, registration details, repair history, and physical location.

When you enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) or the owner’s full name and address, License Plate Lookup instantly returns search results. Coverage includes most states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

License Plate Lookup match results also feature a “Get Report” link to a report options page. Those options consist of additional vehicle reports, such as:

  • Vehicle-Registration Report: including vehicle ownership and registration data, vehicle description (make, model, year), lessor name/address, and branded VIN indicator
  • CARFAX® Vehicle History Report: including maintenance records, state inspection results, odometer readings, accident indicators (for example, airbag deployments), total loss history, flood damage history, and recall information
  • Vehicle Location Report: which uses license plate reader (LPR) technology to identify a vehicle’s physical location over time through firsthand photographic evidence and mapping of vehicle sightings

Where to Find It

You can find License Plate Lookup on the Public Records – Vehicle Data page of ISO ClaimSearch Decision Net. It returns results instantly to your Status & Results listing on the My Reports page.
