Verisk Analytics Named Public Company of the Year by New Jersey Technology Council

JERSEY CITY, N.J., November 18, 2014 — Verisk Analytics has been named Public Company of the Year by the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC). Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK) is a leading source of information about risk.

The NJTC provides recognition, networking, education, and services for the state and region’s community. The annual NJTC awards celebration honors the region’s top technology companies and their leaders for their business accomplishments in technological collaboration, partnership, and innovation.

Verisk received the Public Company of the Year honor based on its stock price appreciation, sustained growth, and strong operating results. “We thank NJTC for this prestigious award,” said Verisk Analytics President and CEO Scott Stephenson. “The award highlights Verisk’s vision to become the world’s most effective and responsible data/analytics company in pursuit of our customers’ most strategic opportunities.”

“Every day, we help our clients make crucial decisions that affect millions of lives and tens of thousands of businesses around the world,” added Stephenson. “We have a long and distinguished history of supporting our clients in managing risk, making informed decisions, recovering from loss, complying with regulatory standards, and improving service — ultimately enhancing the lives of people everywhere.”

“We’re thrilled to have Verisk Analytics accept this award,” said James Barrood, president and CEO of NJTC. “This year was particularly difficult to select our winners from the many nominations we received. The judges were truly challenged and did a terrific job in identifying honorees that represent the best of the region’s tech community.”

Verisk will be honored at an awards celebration on November 20 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, New Jersey.
