ISO Appoints New Business Analyst to Strengthen Claims Handling Team

  • Sarah Carr will support consultancy, training and mentoring for ISO's Claims Outcome Advisor™ personal injury claims management solution.

LONDON, April 11, 2002 — Insurance Services Office (ISO), a leading provider of insurance claims services and information about property and liability risk, has appointed Sarah Carr as its new business analyst to strengthen support for its claims handling team. Sarah Carr brings eight years of insurance experience to her new role and will strengthen ISO's existing consultancy, pre- and post-sales support, training and mentoring services for its Claims Outcome Advisor™ (COATM) personal injury claims management solution. Sarah Carr will also work closely with ISO's product marketing team to develop COA in direct response to requests and needs of existing users in the UK, including Zurich Financial Services, Highway and Admiral.

Before joining ISO, Sarah Carr spent two years at Allianz Cornhill as a Claims Officer, where she was part of a dedicated team dealing with personal injury commercial insurance claims. Prior to that, Sarah Carr spent over six years as a claims handler at Zurich Commercial, where she was responsible for handling all aspects of a reported claim, from first advice to final settlement, for her own portfolio of major clients.

Commenting on this new appointment, David Smart, business development director, ISO, said: "With considerable claims handling and management experience, Sarah Carr brings knowledge of the latest industry and legislative developments to an already well-established team. Her appointment is a further demonstration of ISO's commitment to making Claims Outcome Advisor the claims handlers' choice for personal injury claims management.

"The personal injury claims arena is rapidly changing, and ISO is constantly developing and updating COA for the UK market to support the proactive management of personal injury claims businesses. Sarah Carr has firsthand experience in such developments as the Woolf reforms that have revolutionized claims handling. Her appointment will further strengthen the support we are able to offer COA users," David Smart added.
