As a dental investigator in HeathCare Insight’s Clinical Investigative Unit, I investigate billing histories to detect suspicious patterns and trends. I use my clinical and statistical skills to perform analyses of providers that are outliers and appear suspicious and then report those findings to our clients.

I also serve as the team dental liaison, focusing primarily on exceeding client expectations through quality production and exemplary customer service. In my secondary role, I assist with clinical validation and other components of product development. In my third role, I participate as a member of the cost reduction analysis team and conduct product training sessions.

I’m excited to come to work each day because I work with great people — wonderful professionals who are talented, caring, and down-to-earth. I also love the freedom and flexibility my work affords. And each day brings something new and interesting.

I like that I have leaders who are visible and work right alongside me. For example, HealthCare Insight’s president commonly goes by his first name. He is personable and does things such as pop into even the most mundane meetings. He’s not just a figurehead. He knows me. He knows everyone.

In middle school and high school, I played team sports. I had a variety of coaches, each unique and struggling in their respective roles to overcome challenges so the team could bring home the win. Camaraderie and bonds formed as we worked with purpose toward the ultimate goal of champions. Working at HealthCare Insight reminds me of that. I have leaders who care about “winning,” but they also care about the team members as individuals and human beings.
