ISO'S STATISTICAL/DATA QUALITY CONFERENCE WILL FEATURE
INSURANCE & TECHNOLOGY EDITOR KATHERINE BURGER

NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 1997 — Katherine Burger, editor-in-chief of Insurance & Technology and Financial Technology International, will address critical challenges facing property/casualty insurers at ISO's annual Statistical/Data Quality Conference, Oct. 27 and 28.

Burger will explain technology's role in both creating and meeting such challenges as customer service, distribution and globalization.

Michael Fusco, ISO's executive vice president & chief operating officer, will deliver the keynote address on initiatives under way at ISO to meet insurers' future information needs, including the acquisition of the American Insurance Services Group and the associated establishment by ISO of a single, consolidated all-claims database.

The 14 breakout sessions will include an overview of client/server technology, changes to ISO's quality assurance programs, claims processing for data managers, an update on statistical reporting in Texas, and the growing use of electronic commerce.
