CVM® Conditioned Valuation Model

A new approach to property valuation

CVM® Conditioned Valuation Model, from Verisk’s Interthinx unit, is a human-powered valuation tool that combines a professional exterior property inspection with the robust data and analytics of an automated valuation model (AVM).

CVM uses Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data, as well as county tax assessor and county recorder data, to consider comparable sales and competing listings in the neighborhood. And CVM adjusts its valuations based on the observed exterior condition of the property and of the neighborhood.

You also get the latest exterior photos of the subject property and a street scene taken during the inspection, as well as comments on unusual circumstances or issues.

Integrating a real-time property inspection with analytics makes CVM more accurate than an AVM alone. Yet a valuation from CVM is less expensive than a broker price opinion (BPO).
