The service uses IRS Form 4506, Request for Transcript of Tax Return. Simply submit your order, and you get PDF transcripts of Form 1040 (personal) and 1120 (business) tax returns for your borrower. Information is available for up to the past four years.

You can also get employer-reported W-2 information in two to five business days.

TFV for no-income-verification loans

Even for no-income-verification (NIV) loans, you can still verify that your borrower filed tax returns for up to the past four years. With TFV (Tax Filing Verification) from Interthinx, you get a report that does not show income. The report also indicates whether the borrower filed Schedule C and Schedule E (profit and loss) with his or her returns.
