Robert S. Christie is chief executive officer of 3E Company. With more than 25 years of executive management experience, Mr. Christie joined 3E in 2004 as a seasoned CEO with a successful track record as a leader of information service providers. Today, Mr. Christie is building on 3E's success and drawing from his experience to strengthen the company's leadership position and accelerate growth around the world.

3E Company is a trusted global provider of services that help companies comply with government-mandated environmental health and safety (EH&S) requirements related to workplace safety and product stewardship. The company's comprehensive suite of EH&S compliance services spans the entire product life cycle and supply chain — from research and development through manufacture, transport, use, and disposal.

Mr. Christie joined 3E Company from Credit Suisse First Boston, where he served as an acquisitions consultant responsible for identifying, investigating, and acquiring companies in the service industry sector. Before joining Credit Suisse, he was president and CEO of Thomson Learning, the second-largest global education and learning company. While at Thomson, Mr. Christie transformed a business division from a domestic book publisher into a global learning company, increasing revenues from $550 million to more than $1.4 billion in less than three years.

Mr. Christie has also served as president and CEO for Thomson & Thomson, a world leader in trademark and copyright services and information; as president of McGraw-Hill Higher Education Company; and as group vice president of Standard & Poor's Information Company in New York. Earlier in his career, he held senior-level positions with McGraw-Hill, Publex Publishing, and Beatrice Foods Co. He is chairman of the board for Brightstar Education and serves on the board of directors for Alternative Technologies.

Mr. Christie received a B.S. in management of organizational behavior with a minor in marketing from Rider University.
