Kevin Coop is president of Interthinx, part of Verisk's decision analytics business segment. Mr. Coop has more than 15 years of sales-management and general operating experience in both technology and enterprisewide software solutions.

Interthinx is the nation’s leading provider of risk-mitigation and regulatory-compliance tools for the financial services industry. Offering products used at every point in the mortgage life cycle to prevent mortgage fraud and compliance violations and to assess risk, Interthinx serves more than 1,400 customers, including 15 of the top 20 mortgage lenders and 3 of the top 5 largest financial institutions.

With technology that earned Mortgage Technology magazine’s prestigious 10X Award as “a diagnostic and corrective solution of the highest order,” Interthinx has expertise in predictive analytics, data mining, and risk scoring. Interthinx sets the standard for the industry and directly increases the value of client portfolios.

As part of its overall commitment to collaboration and mortgage-fraud prevention, Interthinx has shared its expertise in fraud detection with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and state agencies and local law enforcement. Interthinx also provides major lenders with forensic reviews of loan files.

Before the formation of Interthinx, Mr. Coop served as president and chief executive officer at Sysdome, a leading provider of fraud-management technology. Before that, he was senior vice president and general manager of the retail/consumer and realtor groups of Homestore.com, based in Westlake, California. During his tenure at the company, Mr. Coop was instrumental in increasing product and enterprise-solutions revenues from $5 million to $225 million. He was chief sales and implementation architect, deploying more than 1,000 field sales personnel and eventually managing the day-to-day operations for multiple divisions of the company.

Before joining Homestore in 1998, Mr. Coop spent time in sales and sales management positions at Harbinger Corporation and Premenos Corporation, promoting electronic data interchange (EDI) and e-commerce business-to-business solutions.

Mr. Coop earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
