Jim Loveland is president and chief executive officer of Xactware Solutions, part of Verisk's decision analytics business segment. Xactware is the leading provider of estimating systems for the property insurance, remodeling, and restoration industries. The company’s technology tools include software estimating programs for PCs and tablet PCs, as well as online systems for replacement-cost calculations, estimate tracking, and data trending in real time.
Since his appointment as CEO, Mr. Loveland has implemented major new versions of several key software platforms, initiated the construction of a new corporate headquarters, and directed Xactware’s international expansion, opening offices in Canada and the United Kingdom. He guided Xactware through the record-breaking hurricane season of 2005 with no reduction in service to the many Xactware clients working on the Gulf Coast. In 2006, Mr. Loveland played a leadership role during the acquisition of Xactware by Verisk's ISO subsidiary.
Before being appointed CEO of Xactware, Mr. Loveland was the senior vice president of XactNet®, managing the pricing, property-estimate network, and data-mining division of the business. Throughout his 18 years at Xactware, Mr. Loveland has held a variety of positions in development, support, and management.
Mr. Loveland holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Brigham Young University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Utah. He serves on an advisory board for Utah Valley College and is a volunteer with various charitable organizations, including the United Way of Utah County.
